I read books. Sometimes I review them. I like a lot of YA, and am particularly fond of SciFi and Fantasy.
I have to say, I was a bit disappointed. It wasn't a bad book, but... I read Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom before I started this series. The world building and the characters in the Six of Crows series was phenomenal. I adored the books. I expected the same here. I didn't hate the book, but it was easy for me to put down in the middle of it to pick up something better. I only finished it when I didn't have anything more interesting on hand.

2.5 *... This one took a bit to get through. The first one had great world building and really made me "see" Wonderland and everything else. This one? Not so much.

This slaggin' series has made my eyes sweat more than any other in a long (I'm talking not since Harry Potter long) time. It's so.... You connect with the characters. All of them. You feel for the bad guys, even. Everyone has their struggle. They all have something that you can connect to. Even the Jackal.

Oh my god, the struggle.... It took everything I had to push through the series. I'm weird in that I need to know how it ends, even if the story isn't fantastic. I finished the first one and doomed myself to read the next two. They do not get better. The visuals in this one were better than the second (because more Wonderland), but that's about it. Really... This whole series makes me mad because life is too short to waste on bad books.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a great resource for anyone that wants to learn Tarot. Everything from how to choose your deck to how to store it and use it is covered early on. People with more experience can skip ahead to learn new spreads. There is even a section to show you how to write your own spreads. I really enjoyed this book. It had been a while since I broke out my cards, but I was inspired to dust them off and get back in to practice.

So that's where it all started! I love this bit of back story. I did get a bit teary, but a little bit of "how awful" is good for a story; as long as it's not just there for shock value or filler. This particular bit of "how awful" tugs the heart, but is absolutely necessary for us to understand the pain both Sophea and Aldrich must have felt.

You really feel for Prussia, and really love to hate Lydia (and Robert), lol. I like Sebastian, too. The characters, and their story, really pull you in. I felt like I was really there, and can't wait to visit them all again!

Really pretty good book. Some emotional parts, some suspense... I look forward to future books in the series.

Really enjoyed this book! The Gethenian tales interspersed through the book were really interesting. Le Guin did an awesome job, as always.

I really enjoyed this story. It was nice to see a "classic" vampire in the story. No sparkles, no brooding; just your regular, run of the mill blood sucking fiend who happened to be kinda hunky.

I really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to read the next one and see what exactly is going on, lol.
