Rent Fifty (Bloodrose: Short Stories, #1)
So that's where it all started! I love this bit of back story. I did get a bit teary, but a little bit of "how awful" is good for a story; as long as it's not just there for shock value or filler. This particular bit of "how awful" tugs the heart, but is absolutely necessary for us to understand the pain both Sophea and Aldrich must have felt.The story is really well written. I really appreciate a little insight into the beginning of it all.
